"Alphabets of all languages are beautiful. Expressing each letter especially "THOTA" meaning garden, was with which I began the "Script Series". It came to life like the creeper growing in a garden, each letter intertwining".
With a Post Graduate Diploma in Fine Arts (Painting) from the Govt. College of Arts & Crafts, Madras, he has participated in the Design Symposium during the Crafts Festival "LIVING IN SEASONS", Toyama, Japan (1992); in the Print Making Workshop, British Council, Madras, in the Print-Making Workshop at "Atelier 17", S. W. Hayter, Paris; in the Fresco Painting Camp, Banasthali Vidyapith, Rajasthan, and in the Graphic Workshop at Garhi Village, New Delhi. He has won awards at the Mysore Dassera Art Exhibition, at the Mysore Pradesh Chitrakala Parishad, Bangalore and for Graphic Prints in the Regional Lalit Kala Akademi. Numerous exhibitions in India – of regional & national importance namely. "TRENDS & IMAGES" and "WOUNDS" by ICMA in Calcutta & New Delhi and abroad – in Paris and Bordeaux, Archives Municipals Des Bordeauz, at the Biennale De Grabado – Grabado of Graphic Arts, Vienna and in Tiograd in Yugoslavia & in Germany. His works were shown at Kanagawa International Print Exhibition (1983); at the III & IV Mini Prints Biennale, Barcelona (1983 & 1984).
