My earlier works from the children’s paper fans for the "KITE" series have evolved into my present figurative work. Kites, puppets and some other idioms express my very own personal myth."

He obtained his diploma in Fine Arts, Govt. College of Arts and Crafts, Madras. He won a research grant for print making 1985 as also the Charles Wallace Trust award for working in Edinburgh Printmakers and at University of New Castle 1996. He has held solo shows, besides centres in India, in Germany and England. His participations in major exhibitions include 9th International Triennale of coloured graphic prints, Switzerland 1982, International Mini Prints, Spain 1985, III International Biennial Print R.O.C. Thaiwan, 1988, International Bharat Bhavan print Biennial, Bhopal 1989 and 1991, Exhibition of Contemporary Art from India, New Delhi 1990, 'Madras: an Emotion, 1996", 'Urband Signals Shifting Images' Bombay 1996, 'Artists from Cholomandal', London 1997. A participant in several print making workshops all over the country, he won the Tamil Nadu State award (junior) 1985 and the senior in 1991 and the II prize in All India Photography contest by Hindustan Photo Films 1991. His creations are part of the collections of Kungsten Grunchen Gallery, Switzerland, Government Museum, Chennai, Lalit Kala Akademi, Delhi and Regional Centre, Chennai and NGMA, Delhi.
