"I'm accused of painting explicitly erotic pictures, I don't either defend or disown them. I just move on to the next canvas. Life is too short to be wasted in accusations and counter-accusations. But one thing I must emphasize: I'm in love with life. Human from interests me deeply, not in parts-obscene part, clean part, human part, divine part, carnal part, spiritual part, all parts. It is form in totality that interests me: I don't break it up into fragments. Who am I to tear asunder what God conceived and created as an integral whole? I can express my love of life only language I know: Line and colour".
