The artist serves as Art Designer at the Vijayawada Weavers Service Centre after his Diploma in Fine Arts (Painting) from the Govt. College of Arts & Crafts, Madras and Training in Fresco Painting at Banasthali, Rajasthan. He has participated in several major exhibitions, namely "Contemporary Print Making in India" at the Festival of India, USA (1985), "Nehru Centenary: Environment & Nature Exhibition" (1989), the Bangladesh Biennale (1989). He has received the Lalit Kala Akademi Research Grant & the State Award, the Award at the Indian Drawings Biennale, Chandigarh and DIAS All India Art Exhibition (1987).
