The artist migrated from Bangalore to Madras after receiving the Diploma in Painting from the Kalamandir School of Art. He has held numerous Solo Exhibitions in many Indian cities and participated in Art Camps and Group shows besides two shows in London (1982), the 16th International Independent Exhibition of Prints in Kanagawa, Japan (1990); 5th International Biennial Print Exhibition, ROC-91 at Taipei, Taiwan (1991); shows in Spain and Japan (1991-92); GRAPHIA International at Belgrade, Yugoslavia (1995). Awardee of the State Lalit Kala Akademi, Madras (1995). At the Taipei show, he compiled the catalogue for the artists showing in "DIVERSE PERCEPTIONS" (1995).
