"The human body became an enthralling subject of study from the beginning. The varying intensities of activity of the mind demand an in-depth expression from the self. There evolved a communication from the head: movement, rolling, speaking, whispering, several layers of heads were juxtaposed or interplayed. These forms are the outward manifestation of my inner self, or of friends or even of strangers."

The 36-year-old artist is a graduate in Fine Arts (Painting) of the Government College of Arts & Crafts, Chennai. With several Group Shows and Art Camps to his credit, he received the Lalit Kala Akademi’s Research Scholarship for Painting (1995) and won the State Award in the State Akademi Annual Exhibition of Art (1995).

Currently doing Multimedia work on web site designing.
